Hawaiian born and raised, Ki feels the magic of the islands was a great inspiration for his artwork. From an early age he was aware of the healing qualities of beauty. As a child he dreamed of creating art which would express serenity and exquisite beauty.

Ki's artistic talent was recognized early, resulting in a scholarship from the Honolulu Art Academy in 1958. He continued his studies at the San Francisco Art Institute where he received his B.F.A. in 1970. After experimenting with numerous painting styles, he discovered his medium in the magic abilities of the airbrush.

Over the past 30 years, Ki has mastered his artistic skills in air brush, taking this medium to new heights of expression. His creative process has became an effortless flow which allows the images to express an elegant simplicity while touching our deeper feelings.

Ki's art has become internationally recognized through numerous exhibitions and reproductions on books, magazines, and video and album covers. His breathtaking paintings grace homes and offices around the world.

His paintings are prized by many private collectors including Neil Diamond, Tommy Chong, Rich Marlowe, John Gray, Ph.D., Barbara De Angelis, Ph.D., Alan Cohen, and the late Doug Henning.

His "Dolfun" was used by the Miami Dolphins football team on their Christmas card. Jay Scott Berry is one of many musicians who have chosen Ki's images as CD and cassette covers. The Whole Life Expo and the World Symposium are a few who have selected Ki's images to represent their events.

Ki feels that the universal healing qualities of this art lend themselves perfectly to many forms of theatrical and multimedia productions. After painting hundreds of originals, Ki now sees unlimited possibilities for integrating these images into mainstream media.

Ki currently resides in Bali where he continues to expand his creative horizons.
